The Private Foundation CIM, located in the Technological Park of Barcelona, is known as a reference centre in the field of advanced production technologies, developing research projects, and Advanced Technological Services Training Activities and Transfer of Technology for industrial environment. It is registered in the Centres of Innovation and Technology (CIT) with 1 and as Transfer Office Research Findings (OTRI) under No 89. Agent Program is TecnoEuropa the CDTI since 2007.

The projects carried out by the Foundation are varied: from developping mechanical systems and transmissions, to integrating production management, control and automation, industrial IT, CAD-CAE-CAM, Rapid Prototyping Manufacturing to artificial vision electronic design methodologies and process and product.

In addition to the current lines of work, the Fundació CIM aims at working in micro and nano-fabrication to reduce the size of the manufacturing processes.

For Fundació CIM manufacture technologies are a fundamental element to make possible the progress of society. To achieve these objectives, the Fundació CIM has fixed four research lines to obtain the knowledge and technology to satisfy this necessity.
