IUCT is an R&D company established in 1997 as a Technological Centre for the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry, with special emphasis on the Fine Chemical sector and with an important influence on the Biotechnological sector. As an R&D centre, IUCT is dedicated to scientific and tecnological research, development and innovation, scientific and technical services and transfer of knowledge.

The mission of IUCT is to use its knowledge, expertise, and capabilities aiming to the generaton of new technologies, products and processes for industrial application in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Through the development of IUCT own R&D projects, a large pipeline of new technologies, new processes, new products and new knowledge has been generated and it is now available for technology transfer protected by 7 international patents and 9 national patents.

Recently IUCT has opened a new business opportunity in Japan through a Strategic Alliance with a Japanese company dealing with the commercialization of IUCT pipeline in this country.
