FOREST TECHNOLOGY CENTRE OF CATALONIA
CTFC, based in Solsona (Lleida, Spain) was born in 1996 as a consortium formed by the County Council of Solsones, the University of Lleida, the Lleida Provincial Council, the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, the Integral Rural Development Centre of Catalonia (CEDRICAT) and the Government of Catalonia. It is a research-oriented, training and technology transfer public institution. It has significantly developed during the last years to become today an internationally recognized institution with over 140 professionals.
CTFC's mission is to contribute to the modernization and competitiveness of forestry, rural development and the sustainable management of rural areas through research, training and, transfer of technology and knowledge to society.
