Xarxa Oberta project involves the development and construction of a backbone, urban district and fiber optic-based high-bandwidth. The development of this project is essential to lay down in Catalonia the foundations for the new Information Society and Knowledge through its impact on public, social and economic development.

This manifesto has the support of more than 254 member institutions of civil society, professional associations, employers, universities and companies in the ICT sector, they represented more than 200,000 companies and over 24,000 professionals.
