SOSTAQUA
CENIT SOSTAQUA was granted during the 2nd call of the CENIT program. SOSTAQUA, included within the area of water technology and environment, aims to improve sustainable water cycle and to foster public-private cooperation in research, development and innovation (R & D & i). The project will be implemented from 2007 to 2009.
SOSTAQUA focuses on the creation of technological developments to achieve a self-sustaining urban cycle of water. This project is divided into 10 main work packages: 4 dedicated to water, 3 to waste, 2 to energy and 1 transverse dedicated to control and environmental health. The project was awarded with 24 million Euros.
The project consortium involves 16 companies: Aguas de Barcelona Clabsa, EMUASA, Labaqua, CANARAGUA, Degrémont, Dow, Cement Mills, Solvay, Sener, CRIC (member of the ACTec) REMOSA, Sines, Enviros, AUMA and STC). Also participate as subcontractors many research centers, for example, CTM Technology Center, also a member of ACTec.
